This morning, I checked to see when I last posted, and it has been three weeks! I think that’s the longest I’ve ever gone without putting something — anything! — up, even it was just a photo.
But, as I said above, I’ve been kinda busy. Over the last month or so, I was plugging away on three substantial projects — one freelance, and two at my day job. One in particular required me to wear three hats — editorial, design & layout, and illustration.
For our 2015 Block of the Month quilt at Pacific Fabrics, we commissioned a local artist to design some Washington-themed illustrations, which we had printed as fabric panels. Then, the manager at our Northgate store designed a quilt around the panels.
My job was to take her instructions and turn them into project sheets for Block of the Month Club teachers and members to use to make their own Evergreen State quilts.
At the same time, I was also putting together the 32-page spring class schedule. AND working on a freelance assignment illustrating and laying out the instruction sheets for a sampler quilt.
In the evenings, I continue to work on a variety of knitting, quilting and embroidery projects, jumping back and forth as the whim takes me.
