Early Blooms at Dunn Gardens

A few days ago, I received an email from Dunn Gardens informing me that the garden would be open to members-only today for a special look at the snowdrops, which are peaking early due to recent warmer-than-usual weather.

Though Tuesday was unexpectedly sunny and warm, since then the weather has been more conventionally cool and overcast. As a result, the crocuses and snowdrops haven’t really opened up.

On the other hand, there were several camellia bushes with many flowers . . .

. . . one very early rhododendron . . .

. . . yellow witch hazel . . .

. . . and if you looked closely, very small buds.
